Hoover Dam Cooks, 1933
Recently my husband and I visited the marvelous Hoover Dam with some special friends. It is truly amazing how this Dam was built when a lot of modern day tools were not invented at the time. Boulder City, NV was created for a home for the families of the many workers who built the Dam. As an avid recipe collector, you can imagine my delight when I found a cookbook in the gift store dated 1933 from the wives of the workers at the Hoover Dam. I love these type of recipes, down home recipes, tried and true, and loved by so many hard working families.

Sounds like a great find! I, too, love recipe collections from “real” people. Usually, these are filled with tasty treasures that have been handed down through generations, and you can almost always count on something delicious.
Thanks for the information on how to order a wonderful cookbook!

Just think–50 years from now, someone may be saying the same thing about your own cookbook! I love stumbling upon golden oldies because they are truly priceless beyond the monetary value.
