The oats threw me. What does the oats do for the meatloaf? I have to say I have NEVER heard of puttig oats in a meatloaf. It sounds interesting.

I used bread crums instead of oatmeal. It tastes better to me. And I skip the bell peppers. I used to put them in, but decided I like the meatloaf better without them.

Adding oats to your meatloaf just helps add nutrition to the meat. I just prefer the fiber of oats. :-)
