Opportunity for the Professional Woman

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

If you’re a professional woman with a book or product, give us an
opportunity to purchase from you on Friday, June 20.

This is the day we are celebrating who we are as women—as women who
are on the move and making a difference! June 20 is the 2nd annual
celebration of Baby Boomer Diva Day.

Showcase your product for 15 minutes for the very low price of $10. A
few vendor slots still left.

Also, there will be plenty of prize giveaways with special guest
speaker, Heidi Richards, who will discuss how blogging can turn into
$$$ for your business or product.

It’s going to be the most fun you’ve had online in a LONG time. 10am-3pm

Girlfriend’s Retreat

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Next week-end the Baby Boomer Diva’s will have their first Girlfriend’s Retreat.  I had the chance to talk with Beverly Mahone, founder of the Baby Boomer Divas and asked her a couple of questions.

Betty: Beverly, please tell me what inspired you to bring women together from all over the world?  Beverly: This is my way to recognize baby boomer women who are on the move and making a difference.  The thought of creating the internet web of fame site came to me her when I looked around and saw all of the talented women over 40.  Hollywood and the media want us to believe a woman has to be young and beautiful to be successful but that’s simply not true.  By the time we reach 40-years-old, we’re more focused.  We’ve overcome obstacles.  There are some absolutely fabulous women 40 and beyond all around the world and they deserve to be recognized.

Betty: What is the first thing you are going to do at the retreat?  What is the last thing you are going to do at the retreat?

Beverly: The first thing I will do is make sure I meet all of my fellow “Divas.”  I’ve really been looking forward to this.  Several of us are coming in early so it will give us an opportunity to hang out for awhile.  The last thing I will do is give everyone a big hug—and I’ll probably cry knowing that we finally got to meet and I’ll be thinking about how much I’ll miss everyone until the next time.  The very last thing I do before I leave Daytona Beach will be with my husband! :)

Betty: What does being a DIVA mean to you?

Beverly:  It means I am a woman on the move and making a difference.  I am D-ivinely, I-nspired, V-ivacious, A-nointed!

Yesterday the blog tour was hosted at Kathryn’s blog at http://princesstrinkadink.blogspot.com
