Broccoli with Sesame Seeds and Scallions
Friday, April 4th, 2008Yield: 4 servings1-1/2 pounds broccoli (generally about 1 large bundle). Peel the stems if necessary and slice into 1/2-inch slices. Cut the broccoli into florets.6 cups water
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 scallions, minced
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
In a large pot, boil the water and then add the broccoli. Boil 1 minute and turn off the heat.
Drain the broccoli, put broccoli into a bowl of cold water, and then drain again.
In a large bowl, combine the garlic, scallions, vinegar, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Add the broccoli and toss well. Serve at room temperature.
